What A ZOO!!!

Davis' class took a field trip to the zoo on Friday. Man on man!! It was a zoo and I am not talking about the animals!!! There were 150 buses!!! Plus all the parents that came to be the kids on those buses!! It was packed!! Have no idea what the head count was...but I have only seen the zoo that full one other time and it was a Friday in May. Word to the wise...do not go to the zoo on a Friday in May because every school in the free world is bringing a group!! At one point a lady stopped her group for us to walk through and I said we have 150 kindergartners and she said oh that's ok I have 300 8th graders...Okie Dokie then!!! Maybe they should think about a day of little kids and a day of bigger kids...what are the bigger kids doing there anyway besides primping in the mirrors and giggling? We had fun....but were not able to see much. By the way I know you want to know this...there were 2 checkers in the food court and not enough servers to handle the situation and the cottonwood was flying off the trees like rice off grocery store shelves these days!! Don't get me wrong...we had fun...just glad we had been there numerous times and did not "have" to see the animals this trip. It was more about friends and "cruising" then about animals...hope there is not a test on Monday!!!

Last weekend we took Davis to the Stock Yards. He has been begging to go ever since I went a few weeks back. So we did our usual...maze, walk around, eat, go in as many stores as we can before Davis decides NO MORE!!! It was a nice day...thought this picture was cute of our little "gunslinger"!!
