It has been a while since I have posted any updates....so here goes!!
Gada won her election and will be sworn in Tuesday night. YEAH!!!
We have not been doing too much. Gas is so expensive...just about the time I want to go somewhere I ask myself if the price of gas is worth it....or if I really need to go...the answer turns out to be no most times. We are combing trips and staying home more.
I have been doing quite a bit of scrapbooking!!! YEAH!! For some reason I got motivated and have been doing some...then the girls at work need some pages done for a retirement book they are making and I have done 4 layouts for them. I am slowly but surely cutting into that huge stack of pictures. Hopefully I will wipe out most of the stack over the summer!!!
Rich has been working on getting the yards in order with his free time. Davis is in the process of finishing up kindergarten. I can not believe he is almost a first grader!!! He finishes up June 5th. He took his reading test on Thursday and did really well!!! They are supposed to leave Kinder reading at a level 3-4.....he passed his test at level 18 with 96% accuracy....we need to work on fluency a bit this summer.....but I am so proud of him!!! He has learned so much this year. We LOVE MRS. LOWERY!!!
We are also involved with the start up of Davis' new school that he will be going to next year....I have been on the bylaws and nominating committee for the PTA. We have a big meeting on Tuesday night and hope all goes as planned! Our new school is really close to the house...so we can sleep in and save gas money...but it is going to be hard to leave Prairie View. We have both had such good experiences there and met such great people.
Not much else going on... believe it or not we have not left the house since we came in Friday evening, after a fun night at a friends house (Margaritas for adults, water slide for kids!). We are gearing up for a couple of long hot weeks ahead!!!
Have a great Memorial Day....Think of those who served or are serving today!!!
