Field Day!!!

Happy Mothers Day Weekend!! We are taking it easy this Saturday morning. We have a busy day ahead...but get to start late today. Davis and I had Field Day yesterday (Rich was in Arkansas). Apparently it is a tradition in schools around here. It is just a fun outdoor day with water activities and other games and sports. They had a DJ, sack lunches, and Popsicles...what more could kids want??? Davis had a great time and took every chance he could to get wet. At one point the class tried to push their Mrs Lowery (their teacher) into the baby pool full of water. They got her pretty close...so the rest of us adults had to come to her assistance!!! I think everyone had a great time!!!

Last night we took our first swim of the year...and when I say we, I mean Davis went swimming...I need a few more days of warm weather to get it warm enough for me!! It was a great night here....NO WIND...which is a miracle. I think it may be the first night of no breeze or wind since we moved here!!! LOL!!!

Today we are helping set up and run an HOA event for the neighborhood to celebrate the opening of our new pool. Since I am on the pool committee and have worked pretty hard to see this pool come to fruition I am excited to get it open and in use!! As soon as the party is over we are headed up to G-ville to await election results for Gada's bid for hospital board and to another party (we are counting on a VICTORY CELEBRATION...but either way we will have fun). We will celebrate Mothers Day in G-ville tomorrow with the Grannies and then head home for another fun filled week!!!
