WOW!!! We are back after a great weekend at the Great Wolf Lodge!!! Oh my....We played hard and had a great time! They have thought of so many great ideas there....your water park admission bracelet is programmed with your door key and payment method....so you do not need keys or money while at the lodge....too cool or what!!! The boys were rather upset that their passes did not have "money on them too"--NO WAY...cost me enough as it was!!! There is something for everyone at the lodge. Great water activities for all ages. Adult beverages in the water park for those who need to be medicated(HA) in the very kid friendly environment. Great food and accommodations for everyone. Great environment in the Lodge and Starbucks if you want to forgo the water!!! A big ROARING fire in the fireplace. A spa too...if that is your thing!!! They even carry VERA BRADLEY BAGS!!!!OH MY GOODNESS!!!! It took everything I had not to swipe my bracelet and carry out a new bag!!!
We spent 3 hours playing and then took a rest break and had dinner. I must tell you about the campfire dessert....bed of ice cream & whip cream with 5 chocolate covered pretzals in fires foramtion with cotton candy stuff in there like the flame....YUMMY (I shot the diet for that). Then we hit it again until Davis' eyes were so red he could hardly bear it!!! Then it was popcorn and Disney channel in the room with lights out by 9:30. We were up and going again around 9 am...but they petered out by 11ish!!! The boys are HUGE fans of the 4 story water tree house & their slides, the kids pool and slides, and the wave pool that announces waves with a wolfs roar....ahhhhooooo!!!! We tried out the lazy river...we liked it...kids not so much. Kids were also a bit small and not too interested in the BIG SLIDES!!! Rich tried a couple out and said they were very cool....they start inside and then they all take you outside, spin you around and spit you back into the pools inside!!!! We would have like to have tried out the spas...but that was not to be!!! The private cabanas also looked nice....but come on now who needs a frig, flat screen and shade????
