FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL!!!

We had a great first week of school this week. Davis loves his teacher (isn't she cute?...love the window in his mouth?). She is right out of school and extremely energetic and excited to teach(just give her a few years...). I think we have gotten a sweet letter from her every day so far....some even hand written. He is excited and happy to be earning "tacks"...when you reach 10 you get a prize....he has 9 and can not wait until Monday when he thinks he will earn his last one...unlocking the prize bucket for him!!!!! Only one person has gone so far....he knows for sure he will be next!!!

We have all gotten back in motion this week and back on School Schedule!!! Harder on some than others....knowing Rich worked all summer I guess you can tell who is struggling!!! I fell asleep with Davis last night reading bed time stories....pathetic or what? I am ashamed to say I need a lot of beauty rest!!!

I actually subbed 2 days this week....and have 3 jobs of the book for next week (even had to turn one down)....so things are looking promising!!! My Insurance man found a gal who had been let go from another office...she is an agent and totally certified and ready to go...she has exactly all the qualifications he wanted me to get...only she has them already....so we are on a "BREAK". He is going to work with her and if they really start producing I will go back in to do some paperwork. I am so thrilled...I was afraid I was getting more than I wanted...love the paperwork part....not liking the idea of tests and selling and going all over the metroplex training and taking classes and or tests!!!! Also this lets me stay flexible for working with kids where and when I am needed.....Its a win-win!!!!

We have a neighborhood back to school party tonight (cookout, games, water slide, bounce houses, and climbing wall...sounds like 6year old heaven!!!). Then we will head to G-ville to check on mom....missed telling you about her situation....Readers Digest is....She HAD uterine Cancer....she caught it VERY EARLY and she had surgery last Monday and all is clear...she now has a better chance of being hit by a car than having a recurrence...makes you feel good right? Tomorrow we have our annual family reunion with my dad's side of the family. Davis will enjoy spending some time with his "big cousins" and we will all get a good visit!!!
