My First Posting

I guess this is all "the rage" now....so I figure I will try this blog thing. I figure start a new year and start something new!!! Davis is home after a 3 day get-a-way to Grandmas house, LUCKY BOY!!! Lucky parents too!! Gave us some time to clean up and reorganize after the holidays. Got some returns made and even a few errands run. Mostly, just quiet time. I scrapped about 12 pages while he was away and gave my Cricut a workout!! Love Cricut more and more each time I use it!!!

We will have a quiet night at home tonight...not too much for the big New Years Eve blowout scene. We feel like we need to stay pretty close to home tonight with all that goes on. All anyone can talk about here is do not go out shooting off your guns at midnight....Who does that? I have never known anyone who has grabbed their gun at midnight and started shooting away...but apparently it is a problem. Our "issue" is a neighbor who has the urge to shoot off illegal fireworks for no apparent reason all year long....we think tonight would provide a good excuse and with the patch of dry weeds beside our house...it could end badly!!! So we will stay close to home and have a cozy dinner and play with Davis' new toys and call it a night about normal time...How boring....I hear you say it. Tomorrow we will watch the parade (hopefully in bed)...followed by football overload.

Hi Jana,
The Chicagoland area also has many issues about shooting off guns. I'm sure the guns around here are not legal like they are in TX. It happens more in the city of Chicago. The 'burbs not so much. I too have a neighbor who LOVES to shoot over major fireworks. At least we have lots of snow on the ground. I'm more on edge on the 4th of July when it's dry. My poor kiddies, they freak out. These town homes are WAY too close for fireworks! Glad to hear you guys had a safe New Year's eve. I met friends for an early dinner, had a dead battery with a full blow snow storm and then got the battery jumped. Fun. Well back to the Law and Order marathon! Have a great New Year! I LOVED your Christmas card picture. It's hanging on my fridge. Hugs, Cindy
